'Salaar' Box Office Collection Day 3: Grosses Rs 200 crore in India

'Salaar' box office day 3: The commercial action film "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire," featuring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, experienced a surge in its box office earnings on Sunday. The movie garnered Rs 90.70 crore on its debut day and continued its success by earning Rs 56.35 crore on the first Saturday.

Early projections indicate that the film accumulated approximately Rs 61 crore on its first Sunday. Consequently, the total estimated box office collection for the Prabhas-starrer has reached around Rs 208.05 crore.

On Sunday, "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire" witnessed exceptional theater attendance across all its screenings. In the Telugu screenings, the film achieved an impressive overall occupancy rate of 73.64%, while its Kannada screenings maintained an overall occupancy of 65.01%.

Additionally, the Hindi screenings recorded an overall occupancy of 48.27% on the same day. According to the film trade portal Sacnilk, the Tamil screenings reported an overall occupancy of 31.88%, and the Malayalam screenings achieved an overall occupancy of 38.37% on Sunday.

In his recent update on the film's box office performance and pre-booking patterns, film trade analyst Joginder Tuteja, shared on X (formerly Twitter), expressed, "Salaar is creating waves in the Hindi region! Over the past hour alone, the movie has successfully sold 43,000 tickets. Witnessing a 25% surge today, and the excitement extends to advance bookings for Christmas Day tomorrow!"

At major multiplex chains across the nation, Salaar witnessed robust ticket sales, totaling over 18.84 lakh tickets from 12,681 shows. Within PVR chains, the Prabhas-starrer secured a notable 1.89 lakh tickets, generating a revenue of Rs 7.11 crore.

Across Inox chains, Salaar achieved sales of more than 1.45 lakh tickets, accumulating Rs 5.12 crore. Additionally, the film performed well at Cinepolis chains, selling 77,969 tickets and earning approximately Rs 2.82 crore, according to film critic and trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

The movie experienced an impressive surge in advance bookings for its fourth day, with approximately 6.15 lakh tickets sold, amounting to Rs 13.64 crore across 15,745 shows nationwide on Christmas Day. Notably, the Telugu and Hindi 2D shows led the way with around 4.13 lakh and 1.24 lakh tickets sold, respectively.

Subsequently, the 2D shows in Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil secured 14,805 tickets, 12,320 tickets, and 48,978 tickets, respectively. Helmed by Prashanth Neel, the movie centers around the transformation of two friends into arch-enemies as a result of unforeseen circumstances.

Produced by Hombale Films, the cast includes Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, and Easwari Rao in pivotal roles. It hit theaters globally on December 22, just a day after Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki."
